The Indian city of Madras Judge Chandra (Chandru) set a world record for the number of orders per day, writes The Times of India. He made 75 decisions on 100 applications.

Since taking office in July 2006, Chandra made 54,000 decisions. "To prevent the crush among lawyers, we hung up sheets outside the court", - said a source in the Madras High District Court.

The judge himself asked his aides to prepare him for the 100 claims per day. According to a source publication, the court has about 4223 applications and 1880 petition on the acquisition of land, of which 112 statements relate to 1990's.
